Microfinishs high powered YAG laser systems have the capability and flexibility to meet most laser marking and engraving requirements. The computerized systems provide crisp & clear permanent laser marks on most metals for identification, logos, or product serialization. Laser marking provides a much higher quality mark normally found from silk screening, pad printing, mechanical engraving or chemical etching.
With the high power YAG capability Microfinish can also provide very precise and highly detailed deep engraving in all metals and graphite electrode material. Any text or highly detailed vector graphic can be precisely machined to depths exceeding .050. The general engraving depth requirements of the plastic injection mold industry of .001 to .020 can easily be reached in all currently used tool steels and alloys. Laser engraving also provides straight vertical sidewalls and square/sharp corners not found in conventional machining resulting in a much sharper and easier to read molded part.
